Independent Research
- I am interested in the evolution of Russia's "soft" power strategies since the invasion of Ukraine in February, 2022. My Advanced Integrated Studies project includes a website documenting my research, ongoing site visits, and interviews as I complete the work for the May, 2026 academic forum at my high school.

- I enjoy taking on complex ideas that require research, developing a multidisciplinary concept, and sharing my work with others.
- I am motivated to work on my own and also enjoy collaborating as part of a team.
- Languages and cultures fascinate me. I speak Spanish and English and am learning Russian.

Soft Power Evaluation Framework
- The Soft Power Evaluation Framework focuses on the intersection of disinformation and soft power. Specifically, it aims to identify the degree to which soft power from Russia is coercive.
- I planned each component, developed the categories, and created the mathematical formula to equal a single metric. I iterated its interface and functionality and created the visual concept for the app. I also researched examples for case studies that are used for each category. I used AI to code the app.
M-Box Maker
- After taking a course in Social Entrepreneurship over the summer, I learned about the importance of social-impact initiatives and how to develop a project that benefits society.
- I then designed a project based on my interest in traditional art and handiwork from Russia.
- I developed mboxmaker.com as a way for traditional Russian arts enthusiasts to learn about the history and significance of Russian crafts, as well as how to make them. I also created an interactive, social component so that users could learn the craft together while practicing Russian or English.
- My inspiration for this project came from two apps I enjoy using, Pinterest and Duolingo.
- I created an mvp, linked below, that I hope to pilot.
- I believe it is important to create opportunities for micro-diplomacy. At the same time, I condemn Russia's war against Ukraine, its people, and its cultural history.
- I created the app's visual concept, interface, layout, functionality, and user experience. I also researched and connected photos of traditional art forms. Additionally, I linked the sites for museums, so that users could see examples of the artwork. I used AI to code the app.

- I enjoy the process of working on a creation and seeing it through to completion.
- I have worked extensively on fabric arts, painting, ceramics, and costume design.
- My favorite pass times are reading and creating or designing. I love to see ideas come to life.
